WhatsApp & RCS Messaging

Qaffeine uses UCanSend, a business messaging platform, to communicate with customers via WhatsApp Business API and RCS (Rich Communication Services). By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our Contact page, you expressly agree to receive messages from Qaffeine on these channels.

What messages you may receive

Transactional messages: Reservation confirmations, order receipts, reminders, and service alerts. These are sent within Meta’s 24-hour customer service window or as utility messages.
Marketing messages: Seasonal promotions, new menu launches, events, and exclusive offers. You will only receive these if you have separately opted in.
RCS messages: Branded, rich interactive messages on supported Android devices — with images, menus, and action buttons.

Your opt-out rights

You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any WhatsApp message from us, clicking the unsubscribe link in any message, or contacting us directly at the details below. Opting out of marketing messages does not affect transactional messages related to an active reservation or order.

Meta WhatsApp: Messages are delivered via Meta’s WhatsApp Business API. Your data shared via WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy. RCS: Rich Communication Services messages are delivered via your mobile carrier and Google’s RCS platform. Delivery is subject to device and carrier support.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyse site traffic. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Essential cookies: Required for the website to function. Cannot be disabled.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Transactional records: 7 years (as required under Indian tax and accounting law)
Marketing consent records: Until you withdraw consent + 2 years
Reservation and order history: 3 years from last visit
Website analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)

Your Rights

Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules, and in keeping with emerging data protection standards in India, you have the following rights:

Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
